The Peterhead squad return to training tonight for the first time since March with several new faces set to go through their paces.
New recruits Gary Mackenzie and Isaac Layne will join up with the players that manager Jim McInally has brought back to the club with five trialists also stretching their legs ahead of a series of games designed to get the Blue Toon in shape for next month’s big kick-off.
Jim said: “We have 13 signed players so we need to add a few bodies. We have five players coming in to try and win a deal. They play in a variety of positions as we need to strengthen in a number of areas.”
“We have kept in touch with the signed squad and they all have stuck to the plans given to them by our fitness coach Stuart Hogg so we should be able to do some ball work as opposed to simply running them.”
