Manager Jim McInally will have at least one new face in his squad that takes on Inverurie Locos tomorrow with defender Kyle Bailey agreeing a move to Balmoor.
The 26 year old hails from London however as well as playing in England for Westfield and Metropolitan Police the defender has featured in Malta for San Gwann and in Norway for Nybergsund.
Bailey played as a trialist for Peterhead in their recent game against Dundee at Dens Park and impressed both McInally and the rest of the Blue Toon squad as the Peterhead manager explained: “An agent got in touch with me a couple of weeks ago about Kyle and I agreed to have a look at him. Kyle played well against Dundee and when you consider it was his first game in six months, and with players he had only just met, I was hoping that we could get him on board.”
“He can play right-back and in the centre of defence. The players were saying afterwards that they were impressed with his fitness and that he would be a good addition to the squad however signing a player from London who has been playing in Norway was never go to be straight-forward as there are a number of off the field issues to sort.”
“We look to have done that now and Kyle will be involved against Harlaw.”
Jim added: “The Kieran Freeman loan deal is almost over the line and now we have Kyle so it has been a good couple of days. There will hopefully be more signings early next week.”
