Peterhead Football Club would like to congratulate local golfer Ross Cameron who played in his first ever European Tour Tournament last week when to took part in the Scottish Championship presented by AXA at Fairmont St Andrews.

Ross won the Loch Lomond Whiskies Scottish PGA Championship by four shots at Deer Park at the start of September and picked up another Tartan Tour success later that month at the Northern Open which was played at Spey Valley in Aviemore.

These successes placed Ross at the top of this season’s PGA in Scotland Order of Merit.

Peterhead chairman Rodger Morrison said: “I am delighted to see Ross flying the flag for golf in Peterhead by winning two tournaments and playing at the Scottish Championship.”

“I know that he has put a lot of hard work into his career and it is nice to learn that he is seeing some rewards.”
