On-loan Dundee youngster Lyall Cameron was delighted to grab his first ever senior goal as the Blue Toon defeated Clyde 2-0 at Broadwood on Saturday.

Despite the atrocious conditions the game will live long with Cameron who opened the scoring on 55 minutes when Ryan Conroy picked him out with cross from the left wing and the 18 year old took a touch before nipping away from his marker and drilling a low shot past David Mitchell.

Cameron said: “I came to Peterhead as I wanted to get minutes under my belt. I am doing that and scoring a goal is a great feeling as well. The ball was moving all over the place when Ryan crossed it and I was not sure whether to hit it first time or take a touch.”

“I opted to take a touch which created space and that allowed me to shoot home although I am not quite sure how good my connection was. I am delighted with it all the same.” Steven Boyd’s determination set up a second goal 16 minutes later for Scott Brown with Cameron saying: “We deserved the win and I thought we had a couple of strong shouts for penalties as well. I am enjoying playing and learning at Peterhead
