Peterhead could have three players back in their plans for Saturday’s trip to Montrose however strikers Isaac Layne and Steven Boyd will be missing.
Defender Gary Mackenzie who suffered a head-knock in his first league start for the Blue Toon at Airdrie in their opening fixture at Airdrie was due to return against Clyde last weekend however he dropped out of manager Jim McInally’s plans after suffering an ankle problem at training.
The one-time Scotland squad member has been training this week and could be ready for the Gable Endies.
Simon Ferry who was also injured against Airdrie is ‘feeling good’ according to McInally after his hamstring issues and is in the boss’ plans for Saturday as is striker Ben Armour who is available for league duty for the first time in this campaign after being injured against Brechin in the Betfred Cup.
Isaac Layne is not fully over the knee problem that has seen him side-lined for nearly three weeks with Boyd missing due to the hamstring injury he suffered in last weekend’s 2-0 victory at Clyde.
