Peterhead v East Fife
Balmoor Stadium
Saturday, December 12
3.00pm kick-off
Jim not interested in a game of two halves
Peterhead manager Jim McInally will send his Blue Toon team out to face visitors East Fife this afternoon with the message to play the full game as you can and not just 45 minutes.
The Balmoor side go into the contest having lost their last two against and Falkirk with both matches following the same pattern of a Peterhead side not being at their best, falling behind, and then putting in a strong performance on the resumption but not being able to draw level.
Jim said: “We have shown what we can be about in patches in our recent games and it is now time to put a performance together over 90 minutes. When we start slowly we are hand over the initiative to our opponents and we need to do better especially as we lose bad goals when we are not playing the way we can.”
“We are facing a well-established team in this league, one that is never far away from the promotion play-offs by the end of a season and a team who have one of the best strikers in this league in Ryan Wallace. In saying that I am more interested in what we can do.”
“This league is so competitive that you are not going to dominate for a full 90 minutes however the players know that the only way we will pick up points is if we have the right tempo for the full game.”
