Peterhead would like to advise that their appeal into the dismissal of Gary Fraser during Saturday’s League 1 match with East Fife has been upheld in part. The red card that was shown to Gary for violent conduct has been downgraded to the yellow card offence of showing a lack of respect to the game.
The Blue Toon’s General Manager Martin Johnston said: “We believe that the appeals panel reached the correct decision after viewing the footage that was available. As a club we will only make appeals that we believe will be successful, and whilst that has not almost been the outcome, our faith in the disciplinary system remains strong.”
“Our thanks go to the Scottish FA for their quick turnaround and also to East Fife for their help in this matter. Gary is now available for selection for Saturday’s game against Partick Thistle.”
