Peterhead manager Jim McInally is delighted to see former Blue Toon striker Russell McLean flourish at Montrose however he hopes that the 22-year-old is misfiring when the Gable Endies visit Balmoor tonight.
McLean has scored six times in six games with McInally saying: “Russell is in great form and I am pleased for him. I am not surprised he is doing well as I liked him as a player, however he grew frustrated here as he could not start ahead of Rory McAllister and Derek Lyle.”
“He moved to Montrose and is now fulfilling his potential but I hope that he has an off night against us.”
The Blue Toon go into the game on the back of a 1-0 win at Partick Thistle however their success came at a price with potentially six players set to miss out with McInally saying: “We will reshuffle the pack and just get on with it. We have had a few games this season where we have been short on numbers and no-one has let us down.”
“It was a terrific win on Saturday and it followed up a fine performance and win over East Fife. Winning three games in this league can really make a huge positive difference to your season and that is what we will look to do.”
Team News – Peterhead

Team News – Montrose
Terry Masson is the only absentee for the Gable Endies with Chris Mochrie expected to shake off a knock to feature.
