Peterhead manager Jim McInally has praised assistant manager David Nicholls, fitness coach Stuart Hogg, player/ coach Simon Ferry as well as senior players Scott Brown, Derek Lyle and Gary MacKenzie for ensuring that everyone at the Blue Toon is talking throughout the latest shutdown.
The team is not due to be back training and playing until February however they are still active on-line socially as well as working to training programmes with McInally saying: “We have a good spirit in our squad and one of the reasons for that is that a lot of people put a lot of effort into ensuring that we keep moving forward despite obstacles. David is talking to me and then going round the boys all the time to make sure that they are okay. The likes of Simon, Scott, Del and Gary are ensuring that no-one is feeling isolated about not meeting up for training or playing and the boys know that I can be contacted at any time if need be.”
“Stuart put together training plans for the teams and he makes himself available to go over them with the players. I am sure a lot of clubs are putting effort into keeping in touch with their players during this shutdown but I have to say I am really pleased with how we are going about things.”
