Peterhead manager Jim McInally’s persistence has paid off as he has finally landed Danny Strachan at Balmoor nearly two years after first trying to bring him on board. The 18 year old full back trained with the Blue Toon in the summer of 2019 and McInally was keen to offer him a deal following his release however he never got the opportunity as Danny wanted to remain in full time football.
Danny has now joined on loan from Championship side Dundee and has been added to the squad for the visit of Airdrie with McInally saying: “Danny was a boy with potential back then however he is now a man ready to make his way in football. He will look to get a lot of competitive first team football under his belt here and will be a great addition to our squad for the games we have coming up.”
