Peterhead manager Jim McInally is expecting a tough evening at Station Park against bottom of the table Forfar as he explained: ” Forfar have beaten us already this season and that is not a surprise as every team in our league is capable of beating every other team.”
“You cannot predict any result and that breeds a resilience as teams go into every game knowing that they can win. You saw that at the weekend in the Scottish Cup with Dumbarton and Partick Thistle pushing Premiership teams close and East Fife and Clyde doing well against Championship sides.”
“Forfar will be on a high after winning through in the Scottish Cup and landing a great draw with Dundee United and that makes them even more dangerous. i took in that game however I do not think the team I saw will be the one that faces us. The Forfar manager Stuart Malcolm made a lot of changes for that game and I am sure that he will make a lot of changes for this one as well.”
Jim is looking for his team to have more of a ‘spark’ up-front as they return to action following last Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat from Clyde as he explained: “When we lost to Forfar earlier this season it looked like we could play all day and not score and the Clyde game was like that as well. We did well in 80% of the pitch and then lacked creativity or a spark close to our opponents goal.”
“You could put the Clyde game down to being our fourth in just ten days however we cannot use that excuse now. We have had a week off and whilst we have trained hard we cannot put a lack of spark down to too many games. We have to put that right ourselves.
