Peterhead manager Jim McInally has advised that there was ‘no news’ to report on the recruitment front for next season however that was not a shock to the Balmoor boss.
Hamish Ritchie’s loan deal from Inverurie Locos was converted into a permanent switch last week with Jim also adding the retention of Andrew McCarthy, Alan Cook and Jordon Brown to the already secured Simon Ferry, Gary Fraser, Ryan Conroy and Andrew McDonald.
The Blue Toon manager expected a quiet weekend as he said: “We have made offers to members of last season’s squad and they are thinking them over. We have also made contact with a number of players we want to bring here and they too are thinking things through.”
“I would expect that there will be little to announce over the next week or so but things will become clearer by the end of the month.”
