Peterhead captain Scott Brown has turned down the overtures of full-time clubs to sign on again at Balmoor much to the delight of manager Jim McInally.
Former Clyde, Bradford City and St Johnstone midfielder Brown has just completed a fifth season at the Blue Toon and after bagging 26 goals in just over 150 appearances the 26-year-old was in demand.
McInally offered a new deal to his skipper last week and it has now been agreed with the Peterhead boss saying: “Scott had the chance to look elsewhere however he enjoys being at Peterhead where he is respected by everyone on and off the pitch. I am delighted that I can get on with planning for the new season with Scott on board.”
“He is a good player and a good captain. It is no surprise other clubs were looking at him.”
