Peterhead head into their final Premier Sports Group A game at Stirling tomorrow without the services of midfielder Andy McCarthy and striker Russell McLean.
McCarthy is back in training after suffering a hamstring injury when the Blue Toon opened their season against Hearts on July 10 and summer returnee McLean is banned after picking up two bookings.
Manager Jim McInally said: “Andy did some work this week on the training pitch however he still felt a bit of pain so it would be a risk to try and include him in what will be a very competitive match at Forthbank. We will look to have him ready for the league opener against Alloa.”
“Russell has picked up a couple of cautions so he is out which is a shame as we were keen for him to build on his goal against Cove Rangers last weekend.”
