Peterhead defender Jason Brown will miss the opening game in the Blue Toon’s League 1 campaign against visitors Alloa tomorrow due to a suspension picked up last season.
Manager Jim McInally is still pondering his options to replace the 25 year old as he explained: “We have known about this suspension for a while so we have made plans for it. In fact I have made several plans for it and I now need to decide what is the best one to choose.”
“Simon Ferry is available again and he can slot in there, Josh Mulligan can play there as well and we also have Jadel Mushanu as an option. Jadel has had a couple of substitute appearances so has gained some experience of senior football under his belt so the time could be right for a starting role for him.”
Jim added: “Andy McCarthy is fully fit again as is Lyall Cameron and we have Russell McLean back from a ban so we are in a decent place for what will no doubt be a tough game against an Alloa side determined to get off to a good start as they look to bounce straight back to the Championship.”
