Peterhead manager Jim McInally has spent the past few days trying to piece together a side to face promotion seeking Queen’s Park this afternoon and no matter what the line-up turns out to be the message to the players will be the same – ‘play without fear’.
Jim explained: “With injuries and suspensions we could be without nine players. There is no point in wallowing in that we simply must get on with things. Players will come in and hopefully look to prove a point in terms of starting more often and I am fine with that.”
“When I have looked at various line-ups this week one thing that has shone through is that we will have a young side. There will be at least three teenagers and a couple of 20-year-olds. Again, looking at things positively they will play without fear as youngsters do.”
“What we have to do is ensure that everyone plays without fear.”
“We had Queen’s watched last weekend and we expect that Simon Murray will come back in after suspension and that will boost them. We have spent a lot of time this week ensuring everyone has all the information they need to do well in the game and if they stick to that, and play freely, then we can do well.”

Jim added: “Queen’s Park are a good side but we have shown at home recently that we are a good side. When we played them at their place earlier in the season their first half performance was as good as anyone we have played in this campaign however in the second half we turned things around.”
“Their full-time fitness helped them in the closing stages and that is another reason we need everyone to be right on their game.
Team News – Andrew McCarthy is suspended and Simon Ferry, has joined Alan Cook, Ryan Duncan, Hamish Ritchie as well as Gary Fraser on the side-lines through injury.
