One of the most versatile players in the Peterhead squad, Ryan Conroy, is still waiting for the green light to step up his return to action.
The 34 year old full-back, wing-back or midfielder has not played since the game at Cove Rangers back in November due to a groin injury and recently went for an x-ray as the problem resurfaced whenever Conroy started to train. The results of an x-ray have not been looked at yet due to delays caused by the Covid pandemic and that has left the Scotland under-21 international cooling his heels.
Balmoor boss Jim McInally said: “It has been a frustrating time for Ryan and us as he wants to be back playing as soon as possible. It has been disappointing to be without Ryan as we had been able to push him further up the pitch after Flynn Duffy had come on board and he was adding a lot of value.”

“He has tried playing through the problem however when that was not possible we wanted to get to the root of the issue.”
“Unfortunately it will take a couple of weeks before his results will be looked at which adds to the frustration however there is nothing else that can be done except to be patient. Hopefully once we know the exact cause we can put a timescale on his return.”
