Peterhead manager Jim McInally is hoping to fill a gap in his squad this week with the loan signing of a right back. Discussions between the Blue Toon, the player and his club have commenced with Jim hoping to have his third new recruit of the January window onboard for the trip to East Fife on Saturday.
The Balmoor boss said: “The signs are good that we will be able to add a player who is a recognised right back. We have tried a few players in that position this season and no-one has quite nailed it down so there is a gap there that needs to be filled.”
“His present club were good enough to let him train with us earlier this week and I say enough to suggest that he would be a very good addition to our squad. Hopefully we will get things completed in time for the weekend.”
