Peterhead boss Jim McInally has told his players to use English Premier League side Burnley as their inspiration at Falkirk this evening.
Despite playing well against title chasing Airdrie at the weekend, the Blue Toon failed to find the net for a fourth game in a row as they went down 1-0, with Jim saying: ‘I cannot be critical of the players, as they are playing well. We are playing some of the best football we have played during my ten years at the club. However, we cannot seem to score a goal, despite creating loads of chances.”
“I have told the players to look at Burnley for inspiration. They were on a similar run to us in the top- flight in England where they were playing well, not scoring and dropping points. Their manager Sean Dyche stuck to his principles and everything fell into place for them at Brighton on Saturday and they won 3-0. Hopefully that will happen for us at Falkirk.”
“As a club we do not have a good recent record down there but we will look to change that as well.”
The Balmoor boss spent yesterday scouring the loan and free agent market in a bid to bring in a defender after Jason Brown was ruled out for three weeks after suffering an ankle injury against the Diamonds. McInally said: “I am hopeful something can be done before kick-off.”

Jason Brown has been ruled out with an ankle injury picked up on Saturday and he joins Lenny Wilson (jaw), David Wilson (foot), Gary Fraser (knee) and player/coach Simon Ferry (back) on the side-lines.
