Double Defensive Boost
Peterhead boss Jim McInally expects to receive a double boost ahead of kick-off in tomorrow’s League 1 game at Alloa with both Jason Brown and Owen Cairns expected to be available.
Brown has been out after suffering an injury against Airdrie four weeks ago however he returned to training on Tuesday night and looks good to go against the Wasps.
On-loan Fraserburgh full back Owen Cairns missed last Saturday’s meeting with Montrose however he also returned to training this week and is set to also be in manager McInally’s plans.
Jim said: “We have had some players playing outside of their natural positions to help us through the past month where not only have Jason and Own been out but we have not been able to call on David Wilson, Simon Ferry and Ryan Conroy.”
“We will have Jason and Owen back if there is no adverse reaction before Saturday. That is a real bonus as it gives me options in the centre of defence and at right back or right wing back.”
