Peterhead’s on-loan Aberdeen attacker Ryan Duncan has received a call-up to the Scotland under-19 team.
The 18-year-old who joined the Blue Toon in September on a Temporary Transfer has gained great experience in his 12 outings during which he has bagged two goals.
Ryan has joined up with Billy Stark’s squad for a four team Elite Group competition in Hungary where they will face Turkey tomorrow, the host nation on Saturday and then Israel on Tuesday.

As a result of his call-up Ryan will not be in manager Jim McInally’s squad for Saturday’s League 1 meeting with visitors Falkirk with the Balmoor boss saying: “Losing a player due to an international call-up is certainly a first for me during my ten years at Peterhead. I would imagine that is it is a first for club as well.”
“It is great news for Ryan and shows the value of Aberdeen sending him to Peterhead to help his development. His good news is tempered with our disappointment at being without him for Saturday our overall emotion is one of pride for Ryan.”
