Peterhead manager Jim McInally will be able to select defender Andy McDonald for this weekend’s League 1 clash with Falkirk after the appeal against the red card he was shown against Alloa on Saturday was successful.

McDonald was dismissed after a sliding challenge on Alloa’s Ross McIver however it was thought at the game that the Blue Toon player had played the ball and a corner, rather than a free-kick, should have been awarded.
Video footage backed that belief and an appeal was made to the Scottish FA earlier this week and word came through this morning that the appeal had been upheld and the sanction rescinded with no yellow card awarded in its place.
