Peterhead manager Jim McInally could be able to call on the experience of player/ coach Simon Ferry for tomorrow’s game against Falkirk at Balmoor.
The 34-year-old, who played in a number of different positions this season before a back injury saw him side-lined at the end of January, returned to partial training last week. Ferry stepped things up this week and as there has been no adverse reaction boss McInally could bring the former Celtic, Swindon, Portsmouth and Dundee man in to face the Bairns.
Jim said: “Simon would be a great option to have. We have played well in a good number of games in his absence however we have missed the calmness and experience he can bring to the team. Andrew McCarthy is serving the second game of his ban so there is a midfield berth available.”
“Gary Fraser is another option as well. Whoever I go for I have to get the balance right between playing this weekend and being available for the rest of the season.”
On-loan Aberdeen attacker Ryan Duncan was an unused substitute for the Scotland under-19 team on Thursday in their 2-1 Elite Group win over Turkey. The young Scots play host nation Hungary tomorrow and Israel on Tuesday.
