Hard work has started

Jun 12, 2022

The Peterhead players and management staff got together yesterday for a second training session ahead of season 2022/ 23 starting with manager Jim McInally delighted with what he saw from his charges.

Jim explained: “We had a good workout on Tuesday night with the signed players and a smattering of trialists that blew the summer cobwebs away. We built on that yesterday and I am delighted to say that our existing group showed a high standard of fitness after their short break.”

“Paul Dixon is now in working with the group and he is in great shape. He is already having an influence and showing why his experience will be a great asset to us.”

“One of the trialists was with a Premiership club last season and he admitted afterwards that he had never worked so hard in a training session at this stage.”

“We have a few boys in training with us and I am still speaking to a few others so the squad will grow in the coming weeks.”

Jim added: “Games are not far off and so far, we have arranged a couple of friendlies and of course the tournament in Elgin. It will not be long before we are right back into things.”
