Those passing Balmoor Stadium last week may have noticed some work being done on the four Balmoor floodlight pylons. This is part of an upgrade to the posts and brackets at the top of all four columns.
We all know how much the wind can act as a twelfth man at times so the brackets and connections have, over time, corroded from the elements of nature.
Gone is the four bracket design and in comes the new two bracket system, which should make for a better overall pitch covering and illumination.
