Jul 15, 2022

Nearly 100 local children aged between 5 and 12 had a ball this week when they took part in the Peterhead Football Club Summer Coaching Camp.

Peterhead’s Community Liaison Officer, Nat Porter was one of the coaches along with Charlie Duncan and volunteer coaches from Peterhead Boys Club and the local community with Blue Toon players Danny Strachan and David Wilson popping in to help out as well.

Aberdeen legend, John McMaster, who was one of the Dons’ players who help defeat Real Madrid in the 1983 European Cup Winners Cup Final was also at the camp, which was sponsored by Drilling Waste Specialist, TWMA, who also provided free water bottles for everyone taking part.

Nat said: “It was a terrific three days and a highly successful camp. The club greatly appreciate the sponsorship from TWMA and I would also like to say a big thank you to all the coaches, players and youngsters who helped out. They made it so much fun.”

Jamie Wilson, TWMA UK Sites Manager said: “We were immensely proud to once again sponsor Peterhead Football Club with their summer coaching programme. It offers a fantastic opportunity for local children to have fun whilst learning new skills and it was great to see so many young boys and girls involved.”

“With our global technology centre based in Peterhead, I am pleased that we are able to support children in the area. It was evident that they all had a great three days.
