Peterhead will head to Clyde this weekend with trialist Robbie Scullion in their ranks however hopes of having other new signings taking the field have taken a hit due to paperwork. Manager Jim McInally explained: “Robbie did well last weekend against Airdrie and impressed again in training this week. He will be part of our squad on Saturday and further discussions over his future will take place after that.” “He has just left full-time football at Partick Thistle and was training with a full-time team throughout the summer, so moving to a part-time basis is something that will take a bit of thought from him and his family. He has the chance to play three times for us so we will not be rushing him.” Scullion’s inclusion will prove beneficial as the signing of two midfielders has been delayed due to paperwork issues with Jim saying: “I know that fans are frustrated by a lack of bodies however no-one is more frustrated than me. Two players have agreed to join us however one is coming from English football and one is a European. Neither deal is straightforward as we need to ensure that issues such as compensation and visas are taken care of.” “We thought that would be done this week however it may be next. Our loan deals may not be through until later August as well as Premiership managers are seeing what they can get in before then so all in all, the club and I, are having to be very patient.”
