Former Millwall midfielder Hefzalla made a promising debut for the Blue Toon against Montrose at the beginning of this month before heading to Egypt for the Training Camp that was being held to help select players for the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations that is being held in February.
Blue Toon manager Jim McInally said: “Ramez is travelling back just now and will be back in the country on Thursday. I managed to have a good chat with him during a stop-off in Switzerland and he filled me in how he had got on.”
“There were two games, one against an Egyptian Premier League team and another against the under-23 side of Kuwait. Ramez featured for 45 minutes in both games and believed that he had played well in both of them.”
“I was pleased to hear that also pleased to hear that he had not picked up any injuries and will re-join our squad for East End Park on Saturday.”
“He now faces a wait to see if he is selected for the Youth AFCON in February which would be a great honour for him and Peterhead.”
