The draw for the Third Round of the Scottish Cup has paired Peterhead with a Queen’s Park side who have adapted well to life in the Championship since securing promotion last season.
The tie at Balmoor is due to be played on Saturday, November 26 with the Blue Toon set to be reunited with Grant Savoury who had an impressive spell at the club last season before netting a full-time deal with the Glasgow club.
Peterhead manager Jim McInally said: “It is always good to get a home tie but that does not mask that knocking out a Championship side will be difficult. In saying that we have done well at our place against Queen’s Park in recent seasons and we will look to build on that record.”
“I know their head coach Owen Coyle well and I know that they have done well this season. Their 4-0 at Partick Thistle on Saturday was a great result. We will start doing our work on them but obviously we know what Grant can do already.”
