Training for Peterhead on Tuesday night included a bounce game against McBookie East Region Midlands League side Tayport with the Balmoor management team giving a run-out to a number of players who did not get match action at the weekend.
Jordon Brown and Andrew McCarthy scored in a competitive contest with David Wilson, Prince Asare, Ramez Hefzalla and Cody McLeod all getting run-outs with Robbie McGale making his comeback following his shoulder dislocation.
Florent Hoti, who was a trialist at the weekend, did not feature as it had already been agreed that he could return to his base in the North of England however talks over featuring again for the Blue Toon are on-going.
Paul Dixon and Andy McDonald missed out and are doubts for this weekend’s trip to Montrose with Russell McLean and Ola Adeyemo remaining out however both players are working with medical staff as they work towards being game ready. Assistant manager David Nicholls said: “Training was really good and the game with Tayport was a wonderful opportunity for players to get game time in their legs.”
