- A three month review and Interim Impact Report was produced by Buchanhaven School to show the effect Danny Strachan has had with young pupils in his position as Wellbeing coach and the results are overwhelmingly positive.
Attendance was analysed for 23 pupils who work with the PFC wellbeing coach for at least 45mins per week and attendance stayed the same or was improved for 19 pupils with nearly all of the pupils whose attendance stayed the same having perfect attendance. One pupil’s attendance has improved by a staggering 47% and another by 35% – this is an extremely positive outcome and shows the importance of this role and the influence it has had on these young pupils schooling. - Our `Kit For All` initiative continues and as of this week we have handed out more than 250 items of clothing to local schools for children in our community.

General News
- Our new strips for next season have been chosen and are on order, thank you to Steven from George Donalds Ltd once again for all your help…and patience!
- We have a new set of wheels, a club van kindly donated by Paul from Millbank Coaches. This will be put to use for everything from transporting training kit to nipping out for DIY supplies so keep an eye out for us around town.
- The Club was once again awarded an SFA Bronze Licensing award for 2022-2023. Natty Porter does a power of work towards meeting the criteria for our Bronze award which encompasses all of the following:
1) The Football Ground where the club plays its first team matches.
2) The structures supporting the first team at the club.
3) The structures supporting the youth teams at the club.
4) Various compliance issues relating to legal, administration, finance and codes of practice standards
at the club.
Team News
- We have two new faces joining our squad this weekend. Elie Ikwa, and Joshus Oyinsan have both been training with the team over the past few weeks and Davie had hoped to add them to our squad for the game against Clyde however English FA clearance was not granted in time for them to be eligible to play. With all the administration now complete, they are approved, signed and ready to play.
- Davie Robertson has been busy in the transfer window and has also targetted two Highland League players however he is seeing the challenges in trying to persuade local players to make the step up. From an interview given this week: “I am aware there may be a “comfort zone” for some players, given that playing in the Highland League suits some individuals due to less travel being involved. We’re talking to one or two local players – it might be this year or next year for them. The local part of it at this time of year is very difficult. Before you get things off the ground with local players it’s almost impossible. There was one player in particular in the Highland League we were very keen on but went to another club. Everyone wants this magic wand; the January window is hardest time as there’s not many players available. Most have contracts until the end of the season, when it is easier to get them. We need to be patient and sit it out, to get the players we want. When you look at it now – and this has not been a deliberate thing – most of the squad are from Dundee upwards. That’s just how it’s played out. Our main focus is on staying up but we’re also planning for next season and trying to get players on pre-contracts.”
