Peterhead FC can confirm we’ve agreed terms for the signing of forward Robert Ward from Inverurie Locos on a pre-contract.
After being released by Dundee United as a youngster, Ward made his mark in adult football by impressing at Turriff United in the Highland League before a two-year stint at Inverurie Locos.
The 21-year-old has penned a two-year deal with the Blue Toon, another sign of the ambition shown by new co-managers Ryan Strachan and Jordon Brown.
Strachan spoke about the latest acquisition by saying, “It’s been a challenging one to finally get over the line but we’re delighted with the final outcome, Robbie is one of the best Highland League assets and at a great age in his development. We can hopefully provide him a platform to make a name for himself.”
Everyone at Peterhead is delighted that Robert has agreed to join and look forward to seeing him in the Blue Toon come season 2023-2024.
