Scott Ross returns

May 15, 2023

Peterhead FC can confirm that we’ve agreed terms for the transfer of Scott Ross from Cove Rangers on a two-year deal.

The 32-year-old returns for his second spell at the Blue Toon having left Balmoor to join the Balmoral Stadium outfit back in 2017 after what was an accomplished period for the club.

Ross helped the club win the League 2 title back in 2014, scored at Ibrox in a 2-1 win for Peterhead, and started in the Petrofac Cup final at Hampden against Rangers.

Everyone at Peterhead FC is pleased that Scott has agreed terms and look forward to working with him again as we strive for success in League 2 in season 2023-2024.

Scott Ross is looking forward to his upcoming challenge at the Blue Toon when he said, “I’m not the young boy that was here before, I’m 32 now, I’ve developed and believe that I can bring success here. There was massive disappointment for myself personally with getting relegated with Cove but it turned into a massive high when I was offered a deal from Jordon and Ryan.

“I know how enthusiastic Ryan and Jordon are about the game and that was big for me, I have come here to take this club to where I think they should be, there was a lot of memories from the last time I was here and I’m keen for more.”

Co-Managers Jordon Brown and Ryan Strachan were delighted to complete this latest signing with both having the privilege to work with Ross as a team-mate. They said, “We’re delighted to have Scott back to the club, he has the experience and quality that’s exactly what we’re looking for, hopefully signing players like Scott brings us to the next level.

“We need to be seen as signing the best players in the region and getting a player like Scott shows what we’re wanting to do at Peterhead, we want to use signing somebody like Scott as a big statement moving forward.”

It promises to be an exciting chapter in the club’s history and we look forward to many more memories with Scott.
