Peterhead FC are delighted to announce that we have agreed terms with Kieran Gibbons to join the club on a two-year contract.
Gibbons comes to Balmoor with an array of experience having formerly played with Aberdeen, Livingston, East Kilbride, East Stirlingshire and Open Goal Broomhill.
During his distinguished playing career, the 28-year-old has tasted success in his career winning the SPFL Reserve League title with Aberdeen in 2015 followed by the Lowland League with East Kilbride a couple of years later. Gibbons has also been captain at Dons Reserves and East Stirlingshire.
This now brings the playing squad under contract for season 2023-2024 to 13 in what is an exciting summer ahead for the Blue Toon
Co-Manager Ryan Strachan is happy to get another acquisition over the line when he said, “Kieran is a player who has come highly recommended by our scouting network and having played against him many times, his positional education, composure and drive is something that can help our group. He’s had an unlucky time with injury but is at a good age and the right mentality to kick on in the off-season.”
Gibbons is excited for the latest challenge by saying, “I have heard good things about the club from boys that have been here previously. It’s renowned in football for being well run and supported. As soon as I spoke to Ryan and Jordon I knew it was the only place I wanted to go. I used to play here at Balmoor with Aberdeen reserves and have good memories from those days.”
“Hopefully I can make some more good times here for me and the team as we challenge for promotion.”
Everyone at Peterhead FC is happy that Kieran has agreed to join us for the next couple of years and look forward to working with him as we strive for our goals in season 2023-2024.
