Recap

Clyde 1-2 Peterhead

Rory McAllister struck twice in the first half as Peterhead defeated Clyde to make it back-to-back wins.

The Blue Toon captain’s double, his first goals in League 1 this season, put his team in command at the interval.

But they had to stave off a Clyde comeback in the second half after former Balmoor defender Scott Rumsby pulled one back.

Peterhead remain eighth in the table but the win, off the back of their Raith victory, did see them move to within one point of their beaten opponents.

McAllister was back in the groove after a frustrating campaign so far and he rifled the visitors in front in the 23rd minute with a fizzing shot from the edge of the penalty area.

McAllister then got on the end of Jack Leitch’s throughball to prod in his and Peterhead’s second on the half hour.

The 32 year old could have claimed a first half hat-trick as the interval approached but he missed the target from close range.

Clyde improved in the second period and they found a route back into the match in the 78th minute.

Ray Grant swung into the box a cross, which Greg Fleming could not cut out and Rumsby flicked a header into the net.

However, it proved too liittle too late for Danny Lennon’s men as Peterhead held firm to pick up all three points.
