Recap
East Fife 1-1 Peterhead
Honours even in Methil after East Fife came back to draw with Peterhead.
The Blue Toon went in front through Derek Lyle’s close-range finish but Ryan Wallace equalised for the home team just before half-time.
Peterhead were aiming to build on their opening day stalement with Falkirk and Ben Armour, in for Aidan Smith, had a great chance early on but he could not beat Jordan Hart.
The Balmoor side, however, take did the lead in the 34th minute when Armour crossed deep to the back post for Lyle to tap in from just a few yards out.
Just when it looked like the visitors would have the advantage going into the interval, Wallace drew Darren Young’s team level.
Aaron Dunsmore’s cross was headed back across goal by Liam Watt and Wallace tucked the ball in from close-range.
There were no further goals in the second half meaning both sides picked up a point each for the second week in a row.
